[Also in Division G3] A high-speed switching system comprises a series of coils past which is rotated a permanent magnet so as to induce a voltage in each coil as the magnet passes it, each voltage so induced being applied to an associated solid state switching device so as to render it conductive to control its associated circuit. More than one bank of coils may be provided, whereby two or more switching operations may be effected simultaneously and the switching devices may be transistors.
