Abstract

1,101,468. Wire tray. READY METAL MANUFACTURING CO. 23 May, 1966 [23 March, 1966], No. 22940/66. Heading B8P. [Also in Divisions A4 and E2] In a display tray, preferably formed as a wire basket with longitudinally spaced wires brazed or welded to stringers, front and back walls W2, W1 are hinged to a horizontal member 12 and the tray is rigidified and compartmented by dividers D which have hooks 65, 65<SP>1</SP> detachably embracing selected wires of the walls. The ends of the wires forming the member 12 are down-turned to provide flanges with terminal stringers to which terminal stringers 45a of the walls are hinged by U- members 55 so that the walls are swingable through 270 degrees to lie in a storage position against the underside of the member 12. The free ends of resilient lock members 70 form abutments preventing accidental disengagement of the hooks 65<SP>1</SP>. The tray is supported by brackets B extending from slotted uprights P1, P2 mounted against a wall or as an island site.
