Abstract

1,100,689. Telemotor steering systems. HANS STILL G.m.b.H. 13 Oct., 1965 [13 Nov., 1964], No. 43499/65. Heading B7H. A telemotor steering system comprises a pump 17 operated by a steering wheel 16 and a pair of hydraulic rams 12, 14 and 13, 15 which act upon a bogey 11 carrying the steered wheels. The fluid lines 18 and 19 connecting the rams and pump include valves 24 and 25 which are interconnected by a piston 26 such that when the pressure in line 19 rises as a result of a steering action in wheel 16, the piston 26 trips valve 24 to allow free return flow of the fluid in line 18, and vice versa. Both lines 18 and 19 are connected, through non-return valves 27 and 28 with a pressure accumulator 20 by means of which leakages are made up. Pressure relief valves 29 and 30 are also included to absorb wheel shocks.
