Abstract

The invetion comprises as novel compounds the isomeric forms of N-(N-(carboxyphenyl)-glycyl)aminoacetonitril and non-toxic salts thereof, and the preparation thereof by reacting o-, m- or p-aminobenzoic acid or a salt thereof with an N-(haloacetyl)-aminoacetonitrile or salt thereof. Therapeutic compositions, which are of value in the treatment of diseases or disorders of the liver and which may be administered orally, rectally or parenterally, contain as active ingredient one or more of the compounds or salts described above.
