Abstract

4 - Chloro - 3 - t. - butyl - phenyl N - methyl carbamate is prepared by reacting 4-chloro-3-t.-butyl-phenol with methyl isocyanate or methyl carbamyl chloride, or by reacting 4-chloro - 3 - t. - butyl - phenyl chloroformate with methylamine.ALSO:Insecticidal compositions comprise 4-chloro -3-t-butyl-phenyl N-methyl carbamate as active ingredient together with solid or liquid diluents. Wetting agents and other insecticides, e.g., DDT, lindane, Rogor (RTM), parachlorphenyl parachlorbenzene sulphonate and parachlorbenzyl parachlorphenyl sulphide may also be incorporated.
