Abstract

1,096,658. Sporting gun ammunition. HIRTENBERGER PATRONEN - ZœNDHœTCHEN - UND METALLWARENFABRIK A.G. Nov. 5, 1965, No. 47129/65. Heading F3A. A cartridge case for shot-guns comprises a tubular easing and a base secured thereto, both the easing and the base being made of synthetic plastics material. The casing is biaxially stretched at a temperature lower than the crystalline melting point to strengthen it and the base is then injection moulded on to the casing. The same material may be used to make the casing and the base. The casing 5 may extend over the whole of the peripheral wall of the base 9 and enclose the extractor rim 7 as in Fig. 3.
