Abstract

1,094,948. Vehicle rear view mirrors. TUVUE MIRROR Inc. Nov. 24, 1966, No. 52672/66. Heading B7J. A rectangular or circular vehicle rear view mirror is of moulded thermoplastic material and comprises two planar reflecting surfaces 33, 34 arranged at an obtuse angle one to another and meeting at a vertical line offset from the centre of the mirror. The mirror has a planar viewing surface 37 and dimensions F and G are arranged to be equal. The mirror is cast in a chrome-plated mould and when removed therefrom may have an aluminium coating 32 applied thereto by a vacuum metalizing or evaporation process. The viewing surface may have a protecting glass layer 35 cemented to it.
