Abstract

A stabilized polyolefin composition comprises (a) a polymer of a mono-olefin containing 2-4 carbon atoms (6) 0.5 to 5% of titanium dioxide based on the weight of (a) and (c) 0.05 to 3% based on the weight of (a) of a nickel amine complex of a 2,21-thiobis-(p-alkyl phenol). Preferably the polymer is polypropylene and the nickel amine complex is the nickel butyl amine complex of 2,21-thiobis (p-octylphenol). A U.V. absorber of the benzophenone type e.g. 2-hydroxy-4-octyl-oxybenzophenone may also be present.
