Abstract

1,094,144. Wall facing units. PILKING- TON'S TILES Ltd. Dec. 14, 1965 [June 22, 1965], No. 26439/65. Heading E1B. A ceramic tile unit for applying to walls comprises tiles A affixed together to form the unit by flexible tapes (Fig. 1) or strips of tape B (Fig. 1a) of polyvinyl chloride applied to their backs, each tape securing the corners of four adjacent tiles A, the corners of two adjacent tiles in the outer rows of the unit being secured by other tapes B (Fig. 1), and each strip of tape B securing the tiles A in two adjacent rows, the tiles of each outer row being secured by other strips B (Fig. la).
