Abstract

1,092,292. Carding engines. SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN A.B. Jan. 25, 1965 [Jan. 24, 1964], No. 3232/65. Heading DIN. [Also in Division F2] The output shaft 2 of a doffer comb bore 1 is mounted in bearings for oscillation by crank mechanism, not shown, and has a projecting end bored at 3 to receive one end of a torsion bar 7 and a surrounding sleeve 4 which are clamped within the bore by means of a compression sleeve 5 and an associated nut, a similar compression sleeve 14 and a nut clamping the other end of the bar 7 to a fixed support 9. A tubular doffer comb shaft 6, through which the bar 7 extends, is welded at one end to the sleeve 4 and at the other end to a supporting sleeve 8 which is rotatably mounted in the fixed support by means of a self-aligning ball bearing 10 mounted on an adapter sleeve 11.
