Abstract

The material for a baby's diaper comprises a central panel woven with hydrophobic (synthetic) warp yarn predominating on one side 14 and hydrophilic (cotton or rayon) yarn predominating on the other side. The weave for the central panel may be birdseye sateen, or twill. On each side of the central panel is a panel woven entirely of hydrophilic yarn; the weave may be plain. The material may have an additional layer woven of hydrophilic yarn.
