Disk and like plate hinges; pivot pins.-A pivot for shears and like implements comprises a sleeve 5 secured at its lower end to the blade 1, and of such a length that its upper end is \Substantially flush with the upper surface of the blade 2, a nut 8 provided with notches 9 to engage projections 7 on the upper end of the sleeve 5, and a securing-bolt 10 which passes through the sleeve and engages the nut.
