Abstract
1,090,729. Automatic current control. H. TINSLEY & CO. Ltd. Sept. 20, 1966, No. 42003/66. Addition to 932,174. Heading G3R. The automatic, current controller described in Specification 932,174 is provided with a modified setting-up circuit Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown) including a plurality of precision resistors which are selectively connectible into the control circuit by a multi-position switch or relay contacts so that the current through a load can be maintained at any one of a plurality of predetermined values, the said resistors replacing the single resistor (6) of the prior apparatus Fig. 1 (not shown). The load may be constituted by a plurality of resistors having temperature coefficients of resistance so selected that the load resistance is independent of temperature changes Fig. 4 (not shown).
