[Also in Divisions F4 and G1] A junctionless symmetrical polycrystalline solid state switch is produced from 67À5% tellurium, 25% arsenic and 7À5% germanium by vaporizing on to a metal plate, by sintering or by allowing a molten alloy to solidify. Two switches may be made in a single unit by forming two such semi-conductor areas side-byside on a common metal plate.
