Abstract

1,089,357. Manipulating sliding clasp fasteners. S. P. WINN. Oct. 6, 1965, No. 42444/65. Heading A3H. A slider operator for a zip fastener comprises a rod 10 with a handle 11 and a tubular extension 12 with a hook 21 for engaging the eye of the slider. Within the tubular extension and slidable to extend beyond it is a tongue 15 supporting two wires 17, 18 which engage the material in front of the slider. The material behind the slider is engaged by the tongue 15. The tongue is attached to a stud 14 slidable in a slot in the tubular extension to project or withdraw the tongue. A cap may fit over the hook 21 and open end of the extension 12.
