Abstract

1,088,988. Joining metal sheets. DIMOND INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 5, 1965 [Nov. 5, 1964], No. 46949/65. Heading E1K. A sheet has male and female inverted channels 7, 3 respectively on opposite edges for joining similar sheets together, the free edge of the female channel having an inturned edge 6 adapted to engage in a groove in the side of the male channel adjacent the sheet. The sheet has corrugations 2a and a central channel 13 having a shoulder 14 adapted to be engaged by the inturned edge of a flange 19 of a clip 16 adapted to secure the sheets to rafters &c. The other end of the clip has an inverted channel 17 adapted to fit between the male and female channels of a sheet joint. A modified sheet comprises a series of adjacent similar corrugations truncated triangular in cross-section, the end corrugations being ad-.. apted to overlap similar corrugations on another sheet the sheets being secured together by an inturned edge of one sheet engaging a groove in the other.
