[Also in Divisions B3 and B6] An edge limit sensing device 24, Fig. 4, adapted to be operated by an edge of strip material being fed, e.g. to or through a machine if said edge passes outside a predetermined limit comprises a lever 25, biased by a spring 31 to a normal upright position in which the upper end of the lever holds a pin 41 of an electrical switch 38 in a cocked position, the lever being pivotable about a point on the rim of a flange 36 formed on said lever to allow the pin 41 to move to a triggered position. The switch 38 is automatically reset by return of the lever to its upright position. The device is described in relation to an edge trimming machine of a type generally as described in Specification 1,005,576.
