Abstract

1,086,631. Quality control. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. May 1, 1964 [May 16, 1963], No. 19444/63. Heading G4D. A batch of articles is accepted or rejected as soon as the ratio of accept/reject enters predetermined accept or reject zones, Fig. 1. Accept and reject registers 28, 22 are controlled by totals counter 17 through accept and reject slope counters 32, 25 so as to follow the paths shown in dashed lines in the graph. The number of rejects registered in 15 is compared at 27, 21 with the settings of accept and reject registers 28, 22, equality resulting in operation of the accept or reject indicator 29, 23. Completion of the batch also operates accept indicator 29.
