Abstract

1,086,063. Discharging conveyers. POLLASTRA PACKERS Ltd. March 17, 1965 [March 18, 1964], No.11462/64. Heading B8A. A conveyer for poultry comprises a plurality of support members 2 pivotally suspended from and movable along an endless guide rail 1, the members being connected to an endless driving chain 13 above the pivot point 7 and to a codriven endless chain 18, a rake 9 at the base of each member 2 having three sets of poultry engaging prongs 10, 11, 12, and ejection means 14x, 14y, 14z, for removing poultry from the conveyer. The three prongs 10, 11, 12 form three paths for poultry, each associated with a separate ejection means 14x, 14y and 14z for delivery of the poultry to conveyers x, y, z. The two outer ejection means 14x, 14z each comprise a pair of vertically spaced pins between which the prong passes and the centre ejection 14y comprises a single pin 17 placed below the prong.
