Abstract

1,085,779. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. BENDIX CORPORATION. Nov. 30, 1965 [Dec. 7, 1964], No 50779/65. Heading G3P. [Also in Division F2] The subject matter is identical with that in Specification 1,056,020, but the claims relate to the method of retaining the diaphragms in the housing. As shown, diaphragm 42 abuts ears 18 on housing shell 12 and a serrated edge 28 of a spacer 26. Diaphragm 38 is formed at its periphery with a groove that receives a lip 40 of the spacer, and a retainer 24 having spring fingers 34 that engage housing shell 14 engages over the lip to abut shoulder 36. Diaphragm 38 has a bulbous projection that is compressed between retainer 24 and lip 40. The spring fingers may have an initial set of 15‹ to 45‹.
