Abstract
1,085,508. Control of A.G. motors. STARKSTROM - ANLAGENBAU ERFURT VEB. Feb. 25, 1966, No. 8407/66. Heading H2J. [Also in Division G3] A three-phase motor 1 drives cage 6 at a loaddependent speed which is detected by a measurement section defined by shaft limit-switches 7, a pulse counter 8 determining the time during which the cage travels through the section. The counter 8 is associated with a reference device 9 for adjusting the value of rotor resistance 4 which is not in circuit when the measurement is effected, a transmitter 10 providing feedback representing the actual value of the resistance. The motor is retarded by supplying its stator with direct-current from transmitter 11, the rotor being short-circuited. The braking current is controlled by comparing an actual deceleration signal from detector 12 with a reference signal from integrator 13. At the end of the retardation period, the motor is driven at creep speed by re-connecting its stator to the A.C. source, and its rotor to the resistor 4 which has been adjusted in accordance with the load, as described, to ensure accurate stopping ofthe cage.
