Abstract
1,082,903. Generating oscillations. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 20, 1965 [April 22, 1964], No. 16528/65. Heading H3B. [Also in Division H1] Short high-voltage pulses for " forming " the electrodes of a cold-cathode tube 6 are obtained from a spark gap 5 connected across one capacitor 4 of a series arrangement of two low impedance capacitors 3 and 4 connected across the secondary winding of a transformer 2 of high internal impedance. A high frequency auto-transformer may be inserted between the spark gap 5 and the tube 6.
