Abstract

Parasiticidal sulphonic and alkyl sulphuric acid preparations are made by neutralizing a base of one of the metals tin, lead, bismuth, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, zinc, cadmium, copper, mercury or silver, with a detergent sulphonic acid or an alkylsulphuric acid having surface active properties, e.g. dodecyl benzenesulphonic, tetrapropyl benzenesulphonic or laurylsulphuric acid or the acid obtained by sulphating the lauric acid monoethanolamide of copra, to produce a neutral salt which is emulsifiable or soluble in water or is made so by the addition of water-miscible solvents e.g. a monohydric, dihydric or polyhydric alcohol.ALSO:Parasiticidal preparations comprise sulphonic and alkyl sulphuric acid salts made by neutralizing a base of one of the metals tin, lead, bismuth, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, zinc, cadmium, copper, mercury or silver, with a detergent sulphonic acid or an alkylsulphuric acid having surface active properties, e.g. dodecyl-benzenesulphonic, tetrapropyl-benzenesulphonic or laurylsulphuric acid or the acid obtained by sulphating the lauric acid monoethanolamide of copra, to give a neutral salt which is emulsifiable or soluble in water, or is made so by the addition of water-miscible solvents, e.g. a monohydric, dihydric or polyhydric alcohol. The preparations a preferably used in the form of their emulsions or colloidal dispersions in water.
