[Also in Division B1] A screw conveyer for elevating spherical particles has a continuous concave track inclined to the vertical. As shown in Fig. 2, conveyer 82 having a helical track 130 on a column 90 receives particles at 136 and delivers them at 116, conveyance being achieved by clockwise rotation of the column so that the particles rise continuously as they keep rolling down to the lower side of the column.
