Abstract

108,239. Charles, G. Oct. 5, 1916. Outdoor games. - Dolls, manikins, and aunt sallies, and like targets at which missiles are thrown are constructed so that when struck on a knob or projecting part a spring is released and causes the arms of the figure to fly up in an attitude of surrender, and when struck on another projecting part a spring catch is released and the figure, which is hinged at the thighs, knees, and feet, collapses into a kneeling attitude. The arms a of the figure are attached to the extensions h of a frame e which, when the knob c is struck, is released from a spring catch d and turned by springs f so as to move the arms upwards. When the knob l is struck, a spring catch i carried by the support j is released and the figure collapses. Staples k on the figure serve as guides as it moves up or down on the support j. The hands of the figure may bear suitable inscriptions.
