Abstract

1,082,304. Surgical drainage appliances. ESCHMANN BROS. & WALSH Ltd. Jan. 1, 1965 [March 19, 1964], No. 11707/64. Heading ASR. [Also in Division B8] A bag 2, to receive urine drained from the bladder via a catheter and tube 1, is provided at its inlet with a tube 3 of "lie-flat tubing" which prevents the return to the patient of liquid or gas. As shown, the tube 3 is sealed around the end 5 of the tube 1 which projects into the bag. The tube 1 is of a plastics or rubber material, the bag and tube 3 of a plastics material, and the tube 1 is heat-sealed to the bag 2.
