Abstract

1,080,666. Discharging static electricity. W. SPENGLER. July 21, 1965 [July 21, 1964], No. 31051/65. Addition to 854,237. Heading H1X. The device of the parent Specification for discharging static electricity is modified in that the corona points d<SP>1</SP> are earthed and the supply voltage is applied to the conductors b which are embedded in the sides e defining the slot c in the insulating body a. A further device is described (Fig. 2, not shown) in which a larger body a is provided with four slots c. Alternatively a number of bodies a 1 and a 2 (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) having dovetail tongues or grooves on each side are assembled side-by-side to form a device having any number of slots.
