Abstract
1,080,652. Making commutators. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. March 25, 1965 [April 3, 1964], No. 12599/65. Heading B3A. A commutator is made from a profiled bar, e.g. of copper having thick and thin portions by cutting out notches in the thin portion to form lugs 12, stamping the thick portion of the bar to form segments 13 which are joined together by thin protuberant bridges 13<SP>1</SP>, forming anchoring means 14, moulding and simultaneously anchoring the bar around a hub (not shown) with the anchoring means 14 embedded in the hub and removing the bridges 13<SP>1</SP>, e.g. by turning, to form the commutator, the lugs 12 being bent outwardly to form connection members.
