Abstract

1,080,322. Kites. C. H. CLEVELAND. Sept. 1, 1964 [July 23, 1964], No. 35714/64. Heading B7W. A tail-less kite comprises a frame formed of a central spar 11 and diverging lateral spars 13 all socketted into a nose fitting 15, the fitting being constructed so that when the spar 11 rests on a level planar surface the spars 13 diverge upwardly to form dihedral angles. A flexible, square covering C is secured at 21 and 25 to spars 11 and 13 respectively and a control line 33 may be secured to spar 11 at one of selected attachments 31.
