Abstract

1,080,180. Electric selective signalling. VYZKUMNY USTAV MATEMATICKYCH STROJU. Nov. 3, 1965, No. 46533/65. Heading G4H. A servomechanism arrangement comprises means for reducing the effect of static friction at the output shaft. Pulses which are to cause movement of the servo are added to clock pulses fed to a first counter for forward movement and subtracted from them for reverse movement. The final stage of the counter 10 feeds a switch 30 leading to one side of a bi-stable circuit 50. A second and equal size counter 20 is also fed by clock pulses, its half count stage feeding a second switch 40 connected to the other side of the bi-stable circuit. When a "forward " pulse passes to the first counter 10, the related switch connects the bi-stable circuit to an earlier stage of the counter. Feedback pulses from the servo return the first counter to synchronism with the second counter, whereupon the first switch reverts to its original state. An analogous operation takes place when a " reverse " pulse is received. In this way the output of the bi-stable circuit is given a relatively large phase displacement in response to the first " forward " or " reverse " pulse to overcome the friction.
