Abstract

1,079,771. Fastening spinning nozzle bodies. H. HENCH. April 26, 1965 [April 27, 1964; Oct. 30, 1964], No. 17505/65. Heading B5B. A device for fastening a spinning nozzle or die body 6, 7, 103 to a feed insert (15) or 102 comprises at least two wedges 9 or cams 115 which engage the underside of the body and urge it against the insert. In one embodiment, wedges 9 enter the space between recesses 12, 12<SP>1</SP> of the bodies (6), 7 and abutments 10, 10<SP>1</SP> of the nozzle blocks 1, 2. Wedges 9 are rounded along the length of their top contact surface, and are held in position by means of screws 17. In another embodiment, cams 115 with spiral surface are rotated by shafts 114 and act upon the bottom portion 105 of body 103 to urge the top portion 104 of body 103 against feed insert 102. When the cams are in the free position, the body 103 can be withdrawn and inserted like a drawer.
