Abstract

1,079,674. Direct call systems. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 1, 1966 [May 24, 1965], No. 21891/65. Heading H4K. In a two-station, two-wire direct call telephone system in which ringing of the called party automatically takes place in response to operation of the calling party's line relay (A) at a feedbridge linking the two, two-wire lines, a ring trip relay (F) is provided for cutting off the ringing when the called party replies and for preventing further application of ringing until both parties have hung-up, i.e. the possibility of inadvertently ringing the first party to hang-up, during the interval when his line relay is back but the other party's line relay is still operated, is eliminated.
