[Also in Division F2] An adjustable hydraulic resistance comprises a rod 7 of uniform cross-section which slides with clearance in a tube 4 to provide a resistance flow path if variable length. The end of the rod cooperates with a restriction 11 in the tube to shut off flow completely. Calibrations 9 on the rod may indicate flow rate. Tube 4 is housed in a T-piece 1 and sealed thereto at one end. The rod is held in adjusted position by compressing a seal 6 through nut 5.
