Abstract

1,078,322. Fuse boxes. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. March 27, 1965, No. 13112/65. Headings H2B and H2G. A cartridge fuse 3 is carried in a groove or bore 2a in a holder 2 which is rotatable in a base 1 between a position in which the fuse is located between contact springs 4, 5 and a position (shown in broken lines) in which the fuse may be withdrawn. As the holder 2 is rotated, by means of a handle 2b, to disengage the fuse, one end 3b of the latter engages a cam surface 9 of the base 1 so that the fuse is partially projected from the holder. The contacts 4 are engaged by blades 6, 7, each having a pair of terminal portions 6a, 6b and 7a, 7b. The members 1 and 2 may be moulded in plastics material and the member 1 may have a projection la, Fig. 2 (not shown), and a corresponding recess 1b so that any number of fuse units may be mounted side-by-side in interlocking relationship, with suitable endpieces, e.g. 8.
