Abstract

1,076,941. Cable troughs. J. MADL. Jan. 10, 1966, No. 1002/66. Heading H2C. The Figure shows a section through the righthand half of a cable tray consisting of vertical side members 10 spaced by a series of rungs 11 to give a ladder-like construction. Each end of a rung is provided with three extensions 18 which pass through rectangular holes in the side members and are turned over at 21 so as to grip the side members tightly. The side member is doubled on itself at 16 to give increased strength but, where the side members are of aluminium alloy or a similar ductile metal, the metal may be thickened at this point. The Figure also shows a support member consisting of a vertical rod 37 to which is attached a clamping member holding the top of the side member and a similar clamp 33 holding the bottom. A bentin member 36 holds the side vertical.
