Abstract
1,076,854. Electric vehicles. NAUTSHNOIZSLEDOVATELSKI I PROEKTNOKONSTRUKTORSKI INSTITUT ZA ELEKTROKARl, MOTOKARI I DVIGATELI. July 20, 1964, No. 29457/64. Heading B7H. [Also in Divisions F2 and H2] A railless electrically driven transport vehicle, e.g. electric truck or trolleybus, houses in a driving axle casing 3 a single statorless electric motor whose oppositely rotating inductor 1 and armature 2 transmit rotary driving movement to the vehicle driving ground wheels 18, 19 via respective half-shafts 4, 4a and planetary reduction gearings housed radially within the ground wheels in such a manner that the latter are rotated in the same direction. The halfshafts drive through toothed pinions 5 the larger wheels of double satellite wheels 7, 8 whose smaller wheels respectively drive an internal gear 12 fast with the hub of wheel 18 and mesh with an internal gear 13 keyed to the stationary casing 3; the planet carrier 9 of the first gearing is keyed to the stationary casing 3 whilst that 10 of the second gearing is bolted to the hub of wheel 19 whereby the two gearings produce mutually opposite drives.
