Abstract
1,073,801. Current transformers. SIGMA INSTRUMENTS Inc. Jan. 1, 1965, No. 105/65. Heading H1T. [Also in Division H2] A device adapted to be associated with a H.T. line to obtain an electrical output therefrom comprises a pick-up coil 79 (Fig. 3) enclosed in a hollow elongated support 21 provided with means, such as a carrier groove 78 which receives the H.T. line, for positioning the coil 79 in relation to the line. The support 21 may be a ceramic or porcelain insulator 21, the coil 79 and its core 86 being enclosed therein in a non- magnetic shield 90 connected to one of the coil leads. The coil 79 may be impregnated with epoxy material and enclosed in an epoxy filling or a dry gas. The insulator 21 may be filled with wax 85 and provided with a metal closure cap 82.
