Abstract

107.293. Tregaskes, S. T. Aug. 25, 1916. Hand-trucks.-The frame consists of side-members a, end members b, and a deck n, and two or more rollers c, c<1> are mounted in the side members and extend from one side member to the other. If three rollers are provided, the middle roller may be larger than the others. A detachable handle and rings for ropes are provided. One or more of the rollers may have a brake preferably consisting of a shoe e which is pressed against the roller by a spring e' and can be retracted by operating a wing-nut or hand-wheel e<3>. The truck can be inverted to serve as a runway for boats &c. The deck is preferably formed of spaced slats and a back piece n<1> may be provided. Two trucks may, as shown in Fig. 5, be connected bv a platform f, provided with pivots f' entering sockets in the trucks.
