Abstract

Articles to be dipped in a bath are carried on hook 13 which is progressed by screw conveyer 7 to the right. The immersion of the articles is effected by platform 1 which is moved vertically by nut 4 coacting with rotating screw 3 and carries a screw conveyer 6 operated by motor 10 carried by platform 1, the movement of motor 10 being dependent upon contacts 11 and 12. Operation.-An article carried by hook 13 is progressed rightwards along screw conveyer 7 and moves on to the rotating screw conveyer 6 of platform 1 until it operates a switch to cut out motor 10. Screw 3 is then operated to cause platform 1 to descend to lower the article into the bath and to rise up to the position from which it began. When platform 1 is thus restored back to the position shown, contacts 11, 12 are re-established, motor 10 is operated and the hook carrying the article is moved rightwards on to screw conveyer 8 which discharges it to the right.
