Abstract

1,071,212. Logic circuits. LE MATERIEL ELECTRIQUE S.W. May 21, 1964 [May 30, 1963], No. 21025/64. Heading H3T. A plurality of AND circuits, each consisting of a bias source and diodes connected in the same sense to inputs, is arranged as an OR circuit by joining the outputs through respective resistances directly to the base of a common transistor connected to a bias source, the OR output being taken from the collector. In the Figure, the transistor 4 will conduct if voltage appears at one of the points 11, 12 or 13, which will happen if all the a inputs leading to this point are in state 1. The transistor will be blocked if 11, 12 and 13 are all in state 0, i.e. if at least one a input of each AND circuit is in state 0. An NPN transistor can be used, with reversal of the polarities of the diodes and bias sources. The resistors 5 can be shunted by capacitors.
