Abstract

A homogeneous crystalline material comprising an alkali metal or ammonium salt of glutamic acid and an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a 51 nucleolide, for example 51-inosinic or 51-guanylic acid, may be prepared by preparing a solution of the salts and crystallising. A hydrophilic organic solvent, for example a lower aliphatic alcohol, ketone, or ether, may be added prior to crystallisation. Surface active agents may be present in the solution. Crystal modifying substances may be added.
