1,066,868. Controlling fluid flow. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. April 15, 1964 [May 8, 1963], No.15672/64. Heading G3H. Increased gain in a pure fluid amplifier is. obtained by the provision of concave recesses 31, 35. Thus, when the power stream from a main nozzle 14 is deflected by differential pressure in control nozzles 15, 16 its approach towards one of the recesses causes the production of a partial vacuum in that recess to assist the deflection. The device has an outlet 23 for the undeflected stream and outlets 22, 24 for the deflected stream. A modification has a single control nozzle and two outlets only.
