Abstract

1,065,915. Suction floor polishing machines. M. STAEHLE. July 15, 1964 [Aug. 2, 1963], No. 29042/64. Heading A4F. A buffer ring 3 is retained on the housing 2 of a suction floor polishing machine by an embedded wire 6 on which operates a toggle device (not shown) to draw the ring 3 against serrated slats 5 on the housing 2; and to prevent sliding of the ring 3 relatively to the housing 2 a strip 7 of flexible material e.g. fabric, is interposed between the ring 3 and the housing 2. The strip 7 is secured to the housing 2 by adhesive and has a ribbed rubber coating on its outer surface.
