Abstract

1,065,499. Filing papers. BRITISH EASTLIGHT Ltd., and R. A. G. SMITH. Sept. 16. 1965 [Sept. 16, 1964], No. 37875/64. Heading B6E. In a file for use in filing systems wherein the spine of the file has a finger aperture therein for easy removal from a shelf or cupboard &c., the aperture is provided with an insert 1 of plastics material comprising a section 2 of tubing having a first flange 3 at one end, and a second flange 4 of lesser diameter than the flange 3 at the other end. The flange 4 is pressed through the aperture in the spine of the file, and the insert is held in position by lugs &c. 5 on the tubular section 2. A plastics ring (6, Fig. 4) is pressed over the flange 3 to secure the insert in position. The ring (6) is formed on one face with circular ribs (7, 8) and an inner rim (9) having a flat face (10). The insert and ring may be moulded from polystyrene which is coloured.
