Abstract

A catalyst comprises nickel and a hydraulic cement refractory base in the form of hollow cylinders or rings such as Raschig rings 3/8 " in height and 5/8 " in diameter with a 1/4 " hole through the centre, the amount of nickel being 15 to 30 wt. per cent. Kaolinitic clay may be incorporated in the base.
