Abstract

1,064,910. Ironing machines. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. Nov. 29, 1965 [Nov. 27, 1964], No. 50596/65. Heading D1A. Two support members are pivoted to the base 2 of an ironing machine so that they can be moved between a splayed-out position supporting the machine in horizontal working position and a folded-in position in which the machine is in a vertical storage position. The base plate 2 has holes 3, 4 in which are pivoted legs 5, 6 having U-shaped parts (5a), (5b); (6a), (6b) which are longer than the width of base plate 2 and bridge pieces longer than the length of plate 2 so that the legs can be folded down alongside plate 2 where they are held by spring- biased retaining devices 8, 9. Tubular members 5a, 6c are rigidly connected to legs 5, 6 and are connected together by a threaded sleeve 7 (or a bayonet fitting) which is slackened to permit the legs 5, 6 to fold.
