Abstract
1,064,903. Induction heating. SOCIETA ITALIANA APPARECCHI TERMO-ELETTRO-MECCANICI S.p.A., and C. DI PIERI. Feb. 17, 1965, No. 6766/65. Heading H5H. A flux control ring 24 (short-circuited turn) is associated with a " pancake " inductor 16 to limit edge heating with varying sizes of workpieces, e.g. when brazing copper claddings on stainless steel saucepans. A variable pitch spiral on the inductor, Fig. 2 (not shown), may be used to assist in limiting edge heating. The effect of the flux control ring 24 is illustrated in Figs. 4A . . . 4D (not shown).
