Abstract

1,064,544. Open-ended cartons. J. D. B. IREDALE. May 6, 1965 [Feb. 6, 1964], No. 5170/64. Heading B8P. An open-ended carton made from a blank, is reinforced by panels 7, 8, 9, 10 separating the side panels 1, 2, 3, 4 and extension side panels 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a. A pair of content supporting panels 11, 12 are integral with the side panels 2, 4 and each have cut-outs 13, 14 which serve to support a ferrule of an electric light bulb. Further reinforcing panels (A), (B), Fig. 1 (not shown), may also be provided. The bulb is resiliently supported in the sleeve by corrugatons 15 on the side panels 1, 2, 3, 4. The carton need not necessarily have four sides and may be adapted to house flash bulbs, infra-red bulbs and reflector lamp bulbs.
