Abstract
1,064,268. Injection moulding and vulcanizing apparatus. DESMA-WERKE G.m.b.H. Dec. 17, 1964 [Dec. 18, 1963; Aug. 4, 1964], No. 51475/64. Heading B5A. In an injection moulding or vulcanizing apparatus e.g. for making shoe soles, and comprising mould parts 8, 9 arranged in a press 3, 4 for opening and closing movements, at least one of the mould parts is releasably secured to a mould carrier by fastening devices of which at least one is releasable and comprises a pivoted clamp 16 moved towards clamping position by threaded nuts 21 against the bias of a spring 24. The lower mould part 9 may be held by guide rails 28, 28a and centred in the longitudinal direction of the rails by a releasable catch 31. In a second example (Fig. 9, not shown) mould cavities (120, 121) are formed between mould parts (118, 119) and plates (122, 123) respectively. When the mould parts (118, 119) are separated, the plate (122) becomes supported by hook parts (127, 128). The lower plate (123) separates from the upper plate (122) for removal of sprue from an injection passage (124).
