Abstract
1,064,209. Electric gas analyzers. STAMICARBON N. V. Oct. 19, 1964 [Oct. 22, 1963], No.42587/64. Heading G1N. An electrochemical cell for measuring the oxygen content of gases containing up to 5000 p. p. m. oxygen comprising a cathode 11 part of which extends above the electrolyte 15 has small gas inlet holes 14 and a large gas outlet opening 9 so that in use some of the gas entering the cell leaves without contacting the cathode. The cathode may be of silver gauze. The anode 6 is supported by a holder 5 provided with large - openings 8. A cooling jacket 2 surrounds the cell. The response of the cell is stated to be linear for concentrations of oxygen up to 200 p. p. m.
